The library is full of articles from years ago, in which academics (like us) spent countless hours researching/writing…
One day, our work will also be equally viewed as obsolete.

Plan S is unveiled on 4th September. 13 days later Elsevier launches an OA clone of its hybrid journal Water Research called Water Research X. Is it X for Europe and the original for rest of the world? Might Water Research S be better? https://t.co/YvFuzWtA0d h/t @marcvanderkamp pic.twitter.com/H6lJhlcufE

Academia tip: never, ever throw writing away, even if you hate it/it was rejected/it's unfinished/it's madness, whatever. Put it in a folder called "Rubbish" and leave it. In part or in whole, it may be useful later. I've just had my ~5th publication out of my "Rubbish" folder.
